| Description | Greensboro, North Carolina based and locally owned Carolina Digital Phone, Inc. a North Carolina corporation since conception in 2000. Carolina Digital Phone has deep roots in the Piedmont Triad as a third iteration of changes in the technology field starting in 1985 as a computer Sales and Services organization know as MicroComputer Resources, later to become MCR Computer Services in the late 1980 and with the birth of the internet the company because a very successful dial-up ISP in the early 1990s. In mid-2000 the company’s dial-up business was sold to TriVergent, a telephone company based in Greenville, SC. Some after that successful migration the owner, Nicky Smith started another company CAROLINANET to become a data center for hosting web sites, servers and applications in downtown Greensboro.
